What Condiments and Garnish for Your Raspberry Gin and Tonic Mocktail?
Non alcoholic gin has come a long way since its beginnings however, to fully replicate the botanical flavor of the real thing, you may want to add extra condiments.
Some that work particularly well both with gin and red berries are:
- Peppercorn – especially pink peppercorns taste (and look) delicious in gin
- Juniper berries – what can evoke real gin better than the berries it is made of?
To garnish and decorate your glass, we love fresh mint or rosemary.
In summer, mint adds an extra layer of freshness to this drink. Lemon Balm (Melissa) also works very well: it is part of the same family as mint but has a mild, lemony scent that works exceptionally well with berries and gin.
In winter and especially for the Christmas seas, we love to dress this mocktail with rosemary.
Rosemary has a wonderful herbal flavor that works very well with the botanicals of gin and, as a decoration, complements perfectly the red berries, making this an easy festive mocktail!
