A sweet and sophisticated evening sip, the Porn Star Martini Mocktail packs a powerful passionfruit punch trying to emulate the flavors of its alcoholic cousin the Porn Star Cocktail without any of the booze.

Ingredients

Scale 1x2x3x

1 1/2 tablespoons passionfruit puree

2 teaspoons vanilla syrup

3 1/2 tablespoons pineapple juice

2 7/8 teaspoons lime juice

Half a passionfruit for garnish

2 tablespoons rose lemonade

Instructions

1. Pour pineapple juice, passionfruit puree, vanilla syrup and lime juice into a shaker.
2. Add ice and shake well.
3. Pour through a strainer into a martini glass or coupe.
4. Garnish with half a passionfruit and a shot of Rose Lemonade

Recipe Variations for the Pornstar Martini Mocktail

Oh, we’ve seen plenty! A relatively modern cocktail that’s still evolving, there are plenty of different takes on the perfect Pornstar Martini mocktail too.

The original cocktail recipe is made from vanilla vodka, passionfruit liqueur, passionfruit puree, sugar syrup, a splash of lime juice and a shot of rose prosecco.

Many suggest the right substitute for sparkling rose wine should be apple juice, not pineapple juice. We’ve seen agave syrup and orange juice suggested as an alternate base and there are plenty of non-alcoholic sparkling roses to try to staying as close as possible to the original Porn Star of “Passion Star Martini”.

A great one to play about with and have some fun with passionfruit clearly taking the starring role.

How Did the Pornstar Martini Get Its Name?

This unlikely cocktail bar hero was invented by mixologist Douglas Ankrah in 1999 ⁽¹⁾, with the name believed to have evolved as he sought a name that was ‘Bold, Sexy and Playful.

Previously called a Maverick Martini, ‘Pornstar’ was considered a far more proactive name and what helped it shoot to popularity as a sophisticated cocktail in London in the early 2000s.
