Hugo Cocktail Recipe

  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 2 1x

Ingredients

Scale

6 oz Prosecco, chilled

2 oz soda water or sparkling water

2 oz elderflower syrup (Like St-Germain or a non-alcoholic elderflower cordial)

A few sprigs of fresh mint

2-4 lime slices

Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Chill your glasses – Pop your wine glasses in the fridge or freezer for a few minutes while you prepare everything else.

  2. Add mint and lime – Place 3–4 fresh mint leaves and 1–2 lime slices in each glass. Gently muddle with a spoon to release the mint’s aroma, but don’t crush it too much.

  3. Add ice – Fill the glass about halfway with ice cubes to keep the cocktail cold and crisp.

  4. Pour in elderflower syrup – Add 1 oz (30 ml) of elderflower syrup per glass. If using elderflower liqueur like St-Germain, it will give a slightly boozier, more floral result.

  5. Top with Prosecco – Slowly pour in 3 oz (90 ml) of chilled Prosecco per glass.

  6. Add soda water – Finish with 1 oz (30 ml) of soda or sparkling water for that light bubbly texture.

  7. Stir and garnish – Give the drink a gentle stir and garnish with a fresh mint sprig and another lime slice.
