- Total Time: 35 minutes
- Yield: 6-8 servings
Ingredients
2 (7.8 oz) cans refrigerated pizza crust
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 1/2 cups pizza sauce
20–25 pepperoni slices
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
Fresh basil, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 175°C. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll both pizza crusts and stack them on top of each other. Cut into a large triangle shape to resemble a Christmas tree, then separate the two layers.
- Place one dough triangle on the prepared baking sheet. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the surface, then layer with mozzarella and pepperoni slices.
- Place the second sheet of pizza dough on top and press lightly to seal.
- Using a sharp knife, cut horizontal slits about 1 1/2 inches apart along both sides of the triangle, leaving the center intact.
- Carefully twist each strip a few times to form “branches.”
- In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Stir in the garlic powder and Italian seasoning, then brush the mixture generously over the entire tree.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and fresh basil before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
