Blue Martini Cocktail: Easy-to-Make Recipe
A fun twist on a classic martini, we have gently adjusted the ingredients to vibrantly deliver on color, but still some of the traditional taste.
- Total Time: 3 minutes
- Yield: 1
Ingredients
60 ml gin
15 ml dry vermouth
15 ml blue Curaçao
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
Optional lemon twist or maraschino cherry garnish
Instructions
- Add ingredients to a cocktail shaker
- Add ice to a martini glass
- Strain over ice into a martini glass
- Add a lemon twist or a cherry to garnish
Notes
If you prefer vodka martini, the gin can easily be replaced with vodka. As its such a core component of the drink, make it good quality.
We have chosen to shake & not stir due to the flavours, but traditionalists will prefer a mixing jug over a shaker.

Alternatives and Twists on the Blue Martini
Once you start adding colour to cocktails, Blue curaçao is one of the first ingredients that comes to mind. This naturally adds citrus flavours, so some prefer a sweeter ingredient than the normal martini dry vermouth.
You can try combining vodka and pineapple juice in the same proportions rather than gin and vermouth. The pineapple in the shaker will leave a foamy texture on top.
Whether you’re hosting a sophisticated baby shower, creating a patriotic display for Fourth of July celebrations, or simply want to add an elegant pop of color to any special gathering, this Blue Martini rises to the occasion. Its versatility matches its beauty – customize the garnish to complement your theme and watch as this stunning azure cocktail becomes the centerpiece conversation starter at your next memorable event.
