No reviews

A sparkling fall cocktail combining crisp apple cider with champagne for an effortlessly elegant brunch drink that tastes like autumn in a glass.

  • Total Time: 3 minutes
  • Yield: 1 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3/4 Prosecco (or your favorite sparkling wine)
  • 1/4 apple cider
  • Fresh Apple as a garnish
  • (Optional) Fresh thyme and star anise as a garnish

Instructions

  1. Start by part-filling each glass (or your serving pitcher) with the cider
  2. Make sure you pour slowly so it doesn’t develop a frothy head
  3. Tilt each glass and gently top up with the prosecco
  4. Add an apple slice as a garnish.
  5. If you have them, fresh thyme and star anise also add an extra touch

Notes

As this is an easy cocktail to scale up, I’ve given proportions rather than oz/mls.

As a guide, the average mimosa glass/champagne flute can hold 6 oz;  you’d use approxiamtely 4.5 oz of sparkling wine and 1.5 oz of apple cider.

For a pitcher jug to serve 12, for example, you’ll need 54 oz of sparkling wine (approximately two bottles),  and 12 oz of apple cider.
