Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter (softened)

3 1/2 cups powdered sugar (spooned and leveled)

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1/8 teaspoon salt

1/3 cup heavy whipping cream

7 Oreo cookies (plus additional for topping if desired)

Instructions

  1. In a stand mixer, beat the unsalted butter until light in color. Slowly add the powdered sugar to the mixer while running on low speed. Stop and scrape the bottom and sides of the bowl as necessary.
  2. Once the powdered sugar is incorporated, add the salt and vanilla extract and mix until blended.
  3. With the mixer running on low speed, slowly add the heavy whipping cream and whip until light and fluffy.
  4. Grind the Oreo cookies into crumbs using a food processor, then gently mix the cookies into the frosting.
