Ingredients

1/2 cup caster sugar
1/2 cup water
Instructions
- Add the sugar and water to a small saucepan over medium heat
- Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved (the longer you boil it for the thicker your syrup will be when cooled)
- Let it cool before pouring into a sterile, airtight glass container
Notes
- It’s easy to change your quantities if you’d like a bigger batch. The standard recipe calls for 50/50 sugar to water but you can, of course, make it a little sweeter by simply adding more sugar.
