Frozen Apple Pie Spice Margarita
This Frozen Apple Pie Spiced Margarita blends cozy fall flavors with a refreshing, slushy twist. Sweet apple cider, warm spices, and tequila come together for a festive drink that feels like autumn in a glass.
- Total Time: 2 minutes
- Yield: 1
Ingredients
1/2 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon apple pie spice + a pinch
1 cup of ice
2 oz tequila (anejo)
1 oz triple sec
2 teaspoons light blue agave
6 oz. apple cider
Apple slices and cinnamon sticks for garnish
Instructions
- On a small plate, combine the sugar and apple pie spice and mix until combined.
- Use a little of the apple cider (or tequila) to rim the glass and dip into the sugar mixture. Set aside.
- In a blender combine the ice, tequila, triple sec, agave, apple cider, and a pinch more of apple pie spice.
- Blend until smooth and pour into rimmed glass.
- Add apple slices and cinnamon sticks for garnish.
Notes
There are plenty of flavor substitutions you can use to suit your preferences. The agave can be substituted for another sweetener, such as maple syrup, and the apple pie spice could be substituted for cinnamon. I recommend you use the full flavor of an Añejo Tequila for this cocktail.
