Mothers Day Pretzel Wreath
- Total Time: 1 hour and 10 minutes
- Yield: 6-7
Instructions
- Start by melting the pink chocolate melts in a small microwave safe bowl in 15-30 second increments until the chocolate is liquid.
- Put the pink chocolate in a piping bag and, cut a tiny hole in the tip and pipe the chocolate into the alphabet mold to spell out the words you want to put on your pretzel wreaths. (The words I used Mom, Ma, Luv, Best ,U)
- Lay the alphabet molds flatly in the freezer for 6-8 minutes. Once the letters are solid, carefully remove them from the mold and place the letters in a cool dry place for later. Repeat this for any extra letters you may need.
- Next melt the purple chocolate melts following the same melting and bagging steps as above. Then bring both of the flower molds together.
- Pipe the purple chocolate in the middle portion of half of the flowers in both molds and pipe some of the pink chocolate into the middle of the rest of the flowers. If the pink chocolate has solidified just pop it in the microwave for 30 seconds to melt it again.
- Put the molds in the freezer for 3 minutes.
- While the molds are in the freezer, melt about 1ounce of the white chocolate melts and place them in a piping bag.
- Once the molds are out of the freezer pipe the white chocolate in the petals of the flowers in both molds. Tap the bottom of the molds to get rid of any air bubbles then place them back in the freezer for 8-10 minutes.
- Once the flowers are solid, remove them and place them with the chocolate letters.
- Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper, then lay the pretzels on the paper closely together in a circle. Use 9 pretzels for a large wreath, 5-7 pretzels for a medium wreath and 3 pretzels for a small wreath.
- Melt the remaining white chocolate melts in a medium size microwave safe bowl.
- Use a spoon to pour some of the chocolate over the inner edge of the circle of pretzels. While the chocolate is still wet place another layer of pretzels on top of it. Layer the top pretzels over the gaps in the bottom row of pretzels.
- Pour more chocolate over the top layer of pretzels, then add the letters and flowers. Next add the pink, purple and green sprinkles randomly around the pretzel wreaths.
- Now place the pretzels in the freezer for 10 minutes.
- Once you remove the pretzels from the freezer use a food safe paint brush to brush on some edible glitter randomly over the wreaths.
- Serve and Enjoy!
Notes
- These best served fresh but they can be stored in air tight container in a cool dry place for 2-3 days.
- Make additional letters for each word incase some of them break.
- If possible get two alphabet molds to make the process even faster.
- The edible glitter is optional.
- To make these wreaths even more special, try adding more sprinkles and maybe some freeze dried fruits.
