3 medium-ripe avocados
1 tablespoon lime juice
1 tablespoon chopped chili or jalapeño
1 Roma tomato, finely chopped
1/2 small red onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 teaspoon salt
Fresh cilantro
Instructions
- Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop out the flesh.
- Mash the avocado in a bowl with a fork until smooth or slightly chunky.
- Add salt, lime juice, chopped cilantro, red onion, garlic, chili, and tomatoes.
- Mix everything well and let sit for 5 minutes to allow flavors to meld. Avoid letting guacamole sit too long, as avocado can darken.
