Ingredients
For the cake base:
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 1/4 cups boiled beets
2 tablespoons cocoa
2 cups whole wheat flour
1/4 cup almond flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 tablespoons milk
For the frosting:
1/2 cup cream yogurt
1 cup cream
1 tablespoon cocoa
1/4 cup sugar
Christmas sprinkles
Instructions
- Make puree from boiled beets and add to a cup.
- Weigh and add dry ingredients.
- Add eggs and liquid ingredients, mix.
- Place the dough in 2 small molds. 8-9 inches each.
- Bake 350F for 35 minutes.
- Cool before constructing your cake.
- For the cream, whip the cream and add the remaining ingredients.
- Assemble the cake.
- Spread with cream and add sprinkles.
