These Cheesy Garlic Cruffins are buttery, flaky, and filled with savory garlic and melted cheese in every swirl. They’re surprisingly easy to make and perfect as a snack, appetizer, or side for brunch or dinner.

  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 6-8 cruffins 1x

Ingredients

Scale

For the Filling:

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

4 garlic cloves, finely chopped or minced

2 1/4 cups grated mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Salt and pepper, to taste

For the Dough:

1 sheet ready-made puff pastry, chilled—not frozen

For the Topping:

2 tablespoons melted butter

Extra chopped parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Filling: In a bowl, mix softened butter, garlic, mozzarella, parmesan, parsley, salt, and pepper until evenly combined.
  2. Prepare the Dough: Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to about 3–4 mm (0.12–0.16 in) thickness. Spread the cheesy garlic butter mixture evenly across the entire surface.
  3. Form the Cruffins: Roll the pastry up tightly like a jelly roll. Slice the roll into 6–8 equal pieces. Place each roll cut-side up in a greased or lined muffin tin.
  4. Bake: Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Bake for 20–25 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
  5. Finish & Serve: Brush the hot cruffins with melted butter and sprinkle with fresh parsley. Serve warm and enjoy the oozy, garlicky cheese layers.
