Cadbury Creme Egg Martini
- Total Time: 25 minutes
- Yield: 1
Ingredients
For the Martini:
1.25 oz white chocolate liqueur
3/4 oz chocolate vodka
3 oz half-and-half
For the “Yolk”:
1 oz sweetened condensed milk
sunset yellow (OR yellow + orange) food coloring
For the Rim & Garnish:
chocolate chips or plain chocolate bar
8–10 mini Cadbury Mini Eggs candies (bagged, not individually wrapped)
3 mini Cadbury Creme Eggs (small, individually wrapped) – optional
Instructions
Make the “Yolk”:
- Place an ounce of sweetened condensed milk in a mini bowl.
- Put a tiny drop of sunset yellow food coloring (or a tiny drop of yellow and a tiny drop of orange) in the condensed milk. Stir to combine. If needed, add one tiny drop at a time until you achieve the desired “yolk” color. Set aside.
Rim the Glass:
- Place Mini Cadbury Eggs candies into a ziplock bag and crush. Pour the crushed candies onto a saucer or small plate.
- Put chocolate chips or broken-up pieces of a plain chocolate bar in a small bowl. Microwave in 15-second increments, stirring after each, until chocolate is melted.
- Dip a coupe glass into the melted chocolate making sure to coat the top 1/2”-3/4” (outside) of the glass.
- Immediately dip the glass in the crushed candies to coat all around. Place the glass in the refrigerator to set for 10 minutes.
- Skewer the three little Cadbury Creme Eggs. Be gentle and hold each together with your thumb and forefinger as you push the skewer through to prevent them from breaking open.
Make the Martini:
- Take the rimmed glass out of the refrigerator. With the bar spoon (or teaspoon), drop a large spoonful of the “yolk” mixture into the bottom of the glass. Be sure you can see it from the outside of the glass.
- Add the white chocolate liqueur, chocolate vodka, and half-and-half to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously until well combined, about 15-20 seconds.
- Pour the cocktail mixture gently and slowly over the top of the yolk. It should layer and not mix with the yolk.
- Set the skewered trio of Cadbury Creme Eggs across the top of the glass.
- Serve and enjoy!
Notes
- Hold the spoonful of yolk up over the middle of the glass and let gravity do its job. This helps to ring the bottom/middle of the glass only.
- You can use the back of a bar spoon to pour the cocktail over the yolk if you wish, but it should layer easily without it.
- Don’t put the Cadbury Creme Eggs in the refrigerator prior to skewering, as this will make the skewering nearly impossible.
- If using a plain, chocolate bar (like Hershey), 1 bar will coat two larger coupe glasses or 3-4 smaller ones. If making a big batch, opt for chocolate chips.
- If you don’t have a coupe glass, other serving glasses can be used. If using a martini glass, work fast (due to its sloping nature) and get it in the fridge to harden asap.
- Don’t use chocolate syrup. It isn’t thick or strong enough to hold the weight of the crushed candies.
- To make this kid-friendly, swap out the alcohol for milk. Direct kids to mix “yolk” with the drink to “sweeten the deal.” Chocolate milk can also be used, but just keep in mind that it will change the color.

Helping you with a step-by-step guide to constructing your Cadbury Creme Egg Martinis:

Make Your Martini’s Ahead of Time
To make ahead of time (this one was made 10 hours before consumption), follow these tips:
- The rims are perfect to make ahead as this gives the chocolate plenty of time to harden, which prevents the crushed candy from sliding/falling off.
- Mix the main cocktail part of the drink separately and pour it into a pitcher. Store in the refrigerator until ready to assemble.
- You can make the “yolk” ahead of time by pouring the amount of condensed milk needed into an airtight container and adding the food coloring to turn it yellow-orange.
- If you have the room or are only making a few, the martini can be assembled and stored in the refrigerator for a few hours before serving.
This Cadbury Creme Egg Martini is perfect for Easter celebrations, dessert-themed parties, or any occasion that calls for a sweet indulgence.
