Blueberry Mojito Mocktail
A refreshing blend of muddled blueberries, fresh mint, lime, and honey, topped with sparkling water for a bright, fruity, and bubbly sip.
- Total Time: 15 minutes
- Yield: 1 1x
Ingredients
1/2 cup fresh blueberries
10 fresh mint leaves
1 lime (for juicing)
1 cup sparkling water
Ice cubes
2 tablespoons honey
Lime slices and mint sprigs for garnish
Instructions
- In a tall glass or jug, muddle the fresh blueberries and mint leaves together using a muddler or the back of a spoon. This will release the flavours and juices from the blueberries and mint.
- Cut the lime in half and squeeze the juice from one half into the glass. Stir well to combine the blueberries, mint, and lime juice. Add honey.
- Fill the glass with ice cubes, leaving some space at the top for the sparkling water.
- Pour the sparkling water into the glass, slowly and carefully, to avoid overflowing. Stir gently to mix all the ingredients together.
- Garnish the mocktail with lime slices and mint sprigs for an extra touch of freshness and presentation.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing Blueberry Mojito Mocktail!
Notes
- While sugar is used in a classic mojito, you can adjust the sweetness of the mocktail by adding a sweetener of your choice, such as simple syrup or honey, if desired.
- If you seek a really electric blue color, the muddled fresh blueberries alone may not give you the desired result. In this case, frozen blueberries may release more pigment
- Alternatively, you could add a small amount of natural blue spirulina (only a 1/4 of a teaspoon will do); spirulina has a mild earth taste, but this small quantity shouldn’t impact the blueberry-mint flavor.
