This blood orange margarita brings bold citrus flavor and a gorgeous ruby hue to every sip. Fresh, zesty, and a little dramatic, it’s the kind of cocktail that instantly lifts the vibe at any gathering.

  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Ingredients

Scale

1 Raspberry Blood Orange

Salt & Tajin Seasoning

Ice

2 oz. Tequila (here I used Anejo)

1 oz. Triple Sec

2 oz. lime juice

Dried Blood Orange Slice or lime, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Use a citrus juicer or by hand, juice the blood orange (this produced approximately 1 oz. of juice).
  2. Add some salt and Tajin seasoning to a small dish and mix.
  3. Use a little of that juice or a lime wedge to rim your glass.
  4. Dip the rim of the glass into the salt/Tajin mixture.
  5. Add ice to your glass.
  6. Then add in the tequila, Triple Sec, lime juice, and blood orange juice.
  7. Give everything a little stir and garnish with the dried blood orange slice or lime.

Notes

  • If desired pour the juice through a sieve or alternatively can use a shaker to make the margarita so that you can strain the liquid.
  • You can easily make your own dried blood orange slices or purchase them at stores or even on Amazon. You can also just use fresh slices to garnish as well.
